Myself (Aged 19), and fellow filmmaker, Oli Broadhead (20), walked more than 1000km across the Indian subcontinent from eastern side to the west. We started in June, at the end of the dry season, and walked across the hot plains of Tamil Nadu. On the western side, we came into the mountains coated in tropical rainforest, and this is where we encountered the monsoon at full force.
We packed as light as possible, so we slept rough in some of the most adverse conditions on the planet. On our journey, walking 20 miles a day in 40-degree heat almost ended in disaster. We came across people who coexist in a world with man-eating leopards and tigers, and we got a sense of what India is truly like in the 21st century.
